Overheard On A Salt Marsh, is an old Kent, UK, lullaby, of sorts. The recitation concerns a nymph and a goblin, both of which are to be found in the Romney Marsh area in south Kent. It was read often to me as a child.
lyrics
Nymph! Nymph! What are your beads?
Green Glass, Goblin!
Nymph! Where did you get them?
I stole them out of the moon
Nymph! Give'm me!
No!
Nympth! Give'm me?
No!
Then I shall howl all night at the moon!
Nymph! Give'm me?
No!
